On his eighth full-length, Marc M Cogman again goes concept-heavy, this time diving into the torrid years between ages 14-18. Less a pure biography than a group of songs that touch on the high school experience, Cogman explores the darkness and exultation of adolescence: the self actualization, the intense friendships, and the first wild experiences of lust and substance abuse. Above all, the lyrics examine what grabs us and shapes us as teenagers that sets us on a path leading to where we go, what we do, and the people we become, both good and bad.

Mining a heavier, electric guitar-centric, post-punk sound, Cogman welcomes two new members to the backing band in Drew Langan (drums) and Rob Leifer (electric guitar) alongside Dead Messengers mainstays Steve McDonald (electric guitar) and Frogs (bass).
